We are installing more public water drinking stations throughout the festival in the campsites, arenas and backstage. We highly encourage you and our staff to bring your own reusable water bottle to the festival. No glass containers are permitted on site whatsoever.

We endeavour to minimise the use of single-use plastics . Single-use plastic bottles will not be available for sale by our vendors, we will be selling canned water and soft drinks only.

All our vendors will only be serving compostable serveware.

We are endeavouring to be as conservative with fuel consumption and to minimize CO2 emissions where feasible.

Our bins are clearly labeled, encouraging our attendees and staff to separate their waste correctly, to help ensure maximum recycling.

Marathon coaches are providing bus service to the festival to reduce the traffic volume and encourage the use of public transport. Bus times and tickets will be available at https://marathongroup.ie/collections/beyond-the-pale. If public transport isn’t an option for you, we highly encourage carpooling.
